Dance Like Nobody's Watching

posted Friday, 11 July 2008
There's a big "update" post on the horizon... but this video I received today literally stopped me in my tracks. I've watched it at least a half-dozen times this afternoon.

Where the Hell is Matt? (2008) from Matthew Harding on Vimeo.

I'm not much of a humanist, or a "feel-good-love-the-planet" kinda guy. They will never make a commercial about me buying the world a Coke, nor will you ever see me in the audience at the Olympics (an outdated concept if there ever was one, IMHO... even more so when you hold an event ostensibly celebrating the triumphant human spirit in a country where the competitors can't hardly breathe, for fear of smog and/or government reprisal.)

That said... wow, what this guy did is simply amazing. And it's just enough to make me reconsider that last paragraph I wrote, if only for about four minutes at a time.

(P.S. This is my 121st entry, according to the Blog City counter. I vaugely recall thinking a few months ago "wow, my 100th post is approaching... better do something special with it." Well, so much for that...)
